Our Founders
Luciano's, a renowned dining spot in Boise, was founded by a trio of visionaries: Gabe Busby, Brad Berquist, and Beverly "Bev" Banner. Gabe, a food enthusiast from Pocatello, ID, and Brad, his close friend and business partner, were the driving forces in the kitchen. Bev, initially Gabe's employer in an office equipment company, was inspired by Gabe's culinary passion and decided to invest in his dream. In 2011, the duo reunited to begin creating Luciano's, which opened its doors on November 19, 2012.
Tragically, Gabe's journey was cut short due to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, leading to his passing on April 7, 2014. His legacy and passion, however, continue to influence Luciano's. After Gabe's passing, Brad and Bev managed the restaurant together until Brad left in 2016, making Bev the sole proprietor. Under her guidance, Luciano's has maintained its commitment to exceptional Italian cuisine and a warm dining experience, honoring its past as it moves into 2021.
Meet the Owners
After considering the future of Luciano's, Bev, the current owner, decided it was time to retire. After thoughtful conversations, Bev chose to sell the restaurant to her daughter and son-in-law, Rachael and Cliff Coleman.
On January 1, 2022, Rachael and Cliff officially became the owners of Luciano's. With Cliff's background in sales and management and Rachael's expertise in business operations, they share a dream of owning their own business. They believe in the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and are committed to upholding Gabe's legacy by providing outstanding food, service, and environment for their staff and guests for years to come.
